General Questions

Broadsafe Care Community Services is an NDIS registered provider based in Bundamba, Queensland. We provide person-centered disability support services including household tasks, personal care, community participation, transport assistance, and innovative programs. Our mission is to empower individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and live their best lives.

We primarily service the Bundamba area and surrounding regions in Queensland, including Ipswich, Springfield, and Greater Brisbane. If you're unsure whether we cover your area, please contact us and we'll be happy to discuss your needs.

Yes, Broadsafe Care Community Services is a fully registered NDIS provider with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Our registration is valid until February 6, 2028. You can verify our registration on the NDIS Commission website.

Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. However, our support services are available 24/7, including weekends and public holidays, to ensure you have access to the care you need when you need it.

About the NDIS

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian Government initiative that provides funding and support to eligible Australians with permanent and significant disabilities. The NDIS gives participants choice and control over how, when, and where they receive support.

To be eligible for the NDIS, you generally need to:

  • Be under 65 years of age when you first apply
  • Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a Protected Special Category Visa
  • Have a permanent and significant disability that affects your ability to participate in everyday activities

An NDIS plan is a document that outlines your goals, the supports you need, and the funding allocated to help you achieve those goals. Your plan is developed with you and is based on your individual circumstances, needs, and aspirations. Plans are typically reviewed annually to ensure they continue to meet your needs.

There are three ways to manage your NDIS funding:

  • NDIA Managed: The NDIA pays providers directly on your behalf.
  • Plan Managed: A registered plan manager handles payments and financial administration for you, giving you more choice of providers.
  • Self-Managed: You manage your own funding, pay providers directly, and have the most flexibility in choosing providers.

We work with all three management types.

We believe the relationship between you and your support worker is crucial. Where possible, we involve you in the selection process and try to match you with support workers who best suit your needs, preferences, and personality. If you're not happy with a support worker, you can request a change.

All our support workers:

  • Hold current NDIS Worker Screening clearances
  • Have relevant qualifications (Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent)
  • Maintain current First Aid and CPR certifications
  • Undergo comprehensive training and ongoing professional development
  • Are carefully selected for their compassion, reliability, and professionalism

Absolutely! We take a person-centered approach, which means all our services are tailored to your individual needs, preferences, and goals. During our initial consultation, we'll work with you to understand exactly what support you need and create a customized service plan.

Getting Started

Getting started is easy:

While we primarily work with NDIS participants, we understand that some people may be waiting for their NDIS plan or may not be eligible. Please contact us to discuss your situation - we may be able to provide information about alternative funding options or assist you with the NDIS application process.

To get started, it's helpful to have:

  • Your NDIS participant number
  • A copy of your NDIS plan (or know your plan-managed/self-managed status)
  • Contact details for your Support Coordinator or Plan Manager (if applicable)
  • Information about your support needs and goals

Once your service agreement is in place, we can typically begin services within a few days to a week, depending on your needs and support worker availability. For urgent situations, please let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate your needs as quickly as possible.

Pricing & Funding

All our services are priced in accordance with the NDIS Price Guide and Pricing Arrangements. This ensures transparent, fair pricing that aligns with your NDIS funding. We provide detailed quotes before services begin and can explain how costs relate to your plan's funding categories.

Your NDIS funding is used to pay for the supports and services outlined in your plan. Different services come from different budget categories (Core, Capacity Building, Capital). We help you understand which budget category each service falls under and ensure your funding is used appropriately.

Services covered by your NDIS plan should not incur out-of-pocket costs. However, some activities (such as entry fees to events or the cost of meals during outings) may not be covered by NDIS and would be your responsibility. We always discuss any potential costs with you beforehand.

We help you monitor your funding usage to avoid unexpected shortfalls. If your funding is running low, we can help you:

  • Review and adjust your service schedule
  • Apply for a plan review if your needs have changed
  • Explore alternative support options
